Hellooooo there I’m Haisten, I’m 23, and I’m from…..well, that’s how I got here!

I was born in Birmingham, AL but lived in a couple of different places growing up, including a small town in Mississippi and South Padre Island, TX. I moved to Oxford, M$ when I was five and lived there until 3rd grade when I moved to Savannah, GA with my mom where she worked towards her Masters in Fashion Design at Savannah College of Art and Design. My dad has since lived in Jackson, M$ where I also spent a chunk of my life! I graduated from high school in Savannah then returned to one of my “main roots” to attend the University of Mississippi. I now live in Austin, TX after completing my degree in Hospitality Management.

As you can probably tell, the question I’ve never been able to answer is, “Where are you from?” WELL, I don’t even know myself! I have always loved the concept of representing where you’re from. Whether it’s one hometown or five, it’s a conversation piece and a way to show your roots—where you come from, are living, or a place that is special to you—that makes YOU who you are today. For me, the roots I have been raised on will forever be in my heart, and I would love to share my love of roots with you
